Family law issues arise in many different ways. As each case requires a different amount of assistance, Feingold Horton offers our clients limited scope representation and the ability to unbundle family law services to suit their specific needs.
Under limited scope representation you receive only those legal services you want and need. Sometimes, you may only have several family law questions that you need answered by an experienced attorney. Perhaps you simply need assistance completing forms or drafting a legal document or want to discuss legal options to prepare for a mediation. In these circumstances, we are well-situated to offer assistance. This is different from the more traditional arrangements between attorneys and their clients where an attorney is retained to provide legal services on each and every aspect of a case from start to finish. While this is helpful for some of our clients, other clients desire more limited representation.
With the limited representation or unbundled services, you and the attorney agree that the attorney will handle discrete parts of your case and you will handle the other parts of the case. You can fully control your case and the expenses by engaging legal advice on your terms and as you need it by engaging in limited scope representation. Limited scope and unbundled services may include review of legal forms, review of a mediation agreement, consultation and analysis of your case to prepare for mediation, and assistance in drafting legal pleadings.
Sometimes clients are unable to afford to hire an attorney for full representation on their case. The knowledgeable lawyers at Feingold Horton will help you evaluate whether using unbundled service will meet your legal needs. We will provide the unbundled service with the same personal attention given to our full-service clients. Our compassionate representation will provide you with the information you need to move on with your life as expeditiously as possible.
If your legal issue is more complex or there are many matters that need to be handled, it may not be in your best interest to unbundle services. An experienced attorney at Feingold Horton will assist you in that analysis.
Whether you seek unbundled legal services or full-service representation, your relationship with Feingold Horton begins with an initial consultation. At this meeting, one of our attorneys will explain the legal process and your options. When you leave our offices, you should have a good understanding of your rights and the direction forward.
